Installed at Hathaway Contemporary Atlanta, GA
Approx. 14 x 16 feet
Interior latex paint on wall
This mural was a temporary installation created in collaboration with Scott Ingram for Til the Lights Go Out, the final exhibition in the gallery space of Hathaway Contemporary, Atlanta GA. All installed work remained in place and was destroyed during the demolition of the building at the end of the exhibition. The imagery in Rumble shows rocks, cut trees, and human limbs reaching out of a compressed cluster resembling an asteroid surrounded by black space. With this image I continue to build on the visual narrative of a landscape in a perpetual state of ruin and renewal. The imminent destruction of the wall at the end of the exhibition punctuates the recurring themes in my work exploring the temporal nature of life and the disintegration of our natural landscape.
